N&EMPF Audio-Visual and Photo Harmony Competition 2023
The 5th Audio Visual and Photo Harmony Competition, organised by the North & East Midlands Photographic Federation, was held on Sunday 26th March in the Sheldon Suite, at Newark Showground.
It was very encouraging that both entries and entrants were up on last year and we had more attendees on the day. Our judge this year was Malcolm Imhoff FRPS FACI(M), whose excellent comments helped make it an enjoyable day.

The winner of the narrative section this year was David E Gibbins, Beeston CC, with his sequence “Nobody Knows Why” about the wreck of the Admiral Von Tromp at Saltwick Bay, Whitby. To this date nobody can understand why it happened.

The winner of the Photo Harmony section was Alan Tyrer, Cleethorpes CC, with his outstanding sequence “A Foretaste of Heaven” – where all the images were taken of the la Sagrada Familia, Barcelona – which also took the Audience Vote.
