Archive
The N&EMPF Archive consists of a collection of prints, slides, negatives, lecture material, publications and various miscellaneous items representing the activities of the Federation and its member clubs from the beginning of N&EMPF right up to the present time.
The print collection comprises over 500 prints (both mono and colour) from about 50 photographers dating from 1931 up to recent times, the majority having been exhibited in the annual N&EMPF Exhibition and many bearing labels recording acceptances and awards in National and International Exhibitions. The colour slide section currently includes work from 5 authors but is being expanded as additional donations become available. The negative collection includes medium format gelatine negatives and some glass plate negatives and there are eleven lectures comprising mono and colour slides, some with accompanying lecture notes.

Finally there are many miscellaneous items including individual member’s acceptance certificates, lecture notes, photo albums of N&EMPF events, magazine & newspaper cuttings, a history of Derby Photographic Society (2 volumes), individual member’s awards and a copy of the N&EMPF Diamond Jubilee book and CD.
The Archive is being expanded on an on-going basis as new material becomes available and is currently housed in the Rolls-Royce Photographic Society premises. Access to the Archive for legitimate purposes may be arranged by contacting the Archivist.
